The Haldimand & Norfolk Justice for Women Review Team (J4WRT) is our community’s Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee. Coordinated by Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services and funded through MCCSS, the team works to improve services and supports for women who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and family violence.
Training Opportunities
Cut It Out: Training for Salon Professionals
Cut It Out is a free training program that helps salon professionals recognize signs of intimate partner violence, respond safely, and connect clients with local support services.
Training is available in your salon or at Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services. Participants receive a certificate of completion and information about local resources.
Contact us to book a free 1.5 hour training session for your salon.
Make It Our Business (MIOB): Intimate Partner Violence Workplace Training Program
Make It Our Business is a free workplace training program that helps employers and employees understand the impact of gender-based violence and create safer, more supportive workplaces.
Participants learn how to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and connect people with community resources.
Delivered in partnership with Western University, training sessions are approximately 1.5 hours and can be delivered at your workplace or at Haldimand & Norfolk Women’s Services.
Presentation content can also be catered to your workplaces’ needs, for example including information about workplace policies, sexual harassment in the workplace, and management responses.
Training for Agencies / Service Providers
The J4WRT provides presentations for local service providers on gender-based violence, risk assessment, safety planning, community resources, and coordinated responses in Haldimand and Norfolk.
The Justice for Women Review Team website offers information about the team, community initiatives, training opportunities, resources, and feedback options for survivors.

Community Feedback and Case Reviews
The J4WRT welcomes feedback from survivors, service providers, and community members to help improve local services and systems. Feedback can be submitted anonymously through our Feedback Form. A full review of your case can also be requested if identifying information is provided.
